Hey, When it comes to your money, one of the hardest parts isn’t finding information, it’s knowing what to do first. Should you pay off debt before you invest? There’s no shortage of advice out there. What’s missing is a clear, values-first priority list that adapts to your life stage and goals. |

What is the Mouni Money Map? 🗺️ It’s an 11-step financial roadmap that helps you: |
Decide exactly where to focus next
Understand what’s essential now and what can wait
Keep moving toward your long-term goals without ignoring your present needs
Make decisions with confidence instead of second-guessing
This isn’t about freezing contributions or pausing progress in other areas, it’s simply a priority list that keeps you from spreading yourself so thin that you make a little progress everywhere but never really move forward.

Ground Rules for the Mouni Money Map |
Live below your means. Spend less than you make and watch out for lifestyle creep as income grows.
Give generously when you can. Your plan should reflect your values, not just your net worth. Giving can flex up or down with life’s seasons, but it should always be present in some form.
Review annually. Life changes, so should your plan. If you share finances with a partner, meet at least once a year to revisit your goals, plan, and values.
It’s a priority list, not a pause list. Being on one step doesn’t mean you can’t save, invest, or contribute elsewhere. This map is a guide when you feel lost, not a rigid set of rules.

Step 1: Cover the Essentials Let's dive into the first step of the Mouni Money Map (MMM). Before we talk about emergency funds or debt payoff strategies, we need to make sure your financial “boat” isn’t leaking. That means having your core living expenses covered: |
Housing
Utilities
Groceries
Transportation
Basic insurance
If these aren’t secure, everything else will feel shaky. You can’t build long-term wealth when you’re unsure how to keep the lights on (literally and figuratively).
There’s wiggle room here, “covering the essentials” doesn’t mean living perfectly. If you’re stuck in paycheck-to-paycheck mode, we can work on a strategy to build breathing room and move forward.
Once these essentials are in place, you’ll be ready for Step 2, which we’ll talk about next time.

🧭 Which Step Are You On? Over the next few weeks, I’ll walk you through each step of the Mouni Money Map with practical tips, real-life examples, and small, doable actions. Hit reply and tell me: Which step are you on right now? There’s no shame in your answer. Being in an earlier stage doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong; it simply shows where we can focus to get you moving forward again. The goal is steady progress, making small adjustments along the way, and getting out of any stuck points together. |
